Zoips! It’s a g-g-g-ghost! Run, Scoobs!
This sounds like a job for the Scooby Gang.
This looks really cool. I’m gonna be getting one through work, so before long, you may well be receiving my site here straight from the ports of a Mac mini. You know you want one. Buy one. Buy it now!
“This one will make you seriously rethink the scrambled porn channel.” – My brother.
This movie rocks. It’s not a horror movie so much as it is a thriller. Go expecting tension to build upon itself, rather than lots of big scare moments. It’s a pleasure to see Michael Keaton on screen again. He’s always an engaging and sympathetic character, and I think he brings a grounded reality to this character which adds immensely to what might otherwise be a weak or emotionally vacant movie. It’s spooky, but the most important thing about this movie is the layers. Don’t check your brain at the door. Pay attention to details and think about “reality” and motivations.
Kid Ticket
Futurist story in which people can manipulate their bodies to the point of fast-forwarding and rewinding their age. They are essentially immortal. Prison sentences are essentially condemnation to living a certain term in old age and decrepitude. Procreation is strictly controlled by “Procreation permits” otherwise known as “kid tickets”. In such a world the only thing left to fear is death. Explore death and birth in such a world.
Chi
Evolution of a vampire story I wanted to write exploring the idea that it isn’t the symbols of faith that hold power over the vampire, but the energy of faith. Expand this idea to include ghosts, and such. Perhaps extend this to a hero, whose name could be Chi.
Ratings System:
I need to develop a ratings system for my movie reviews.
This was a very funny movie. With all the hype about it being locally filmed, I was kinda dreading the theater being packed with a bunch of people pointing out familiar places. Fortunately, the movie was so good there was none of that. Thomas Haden Church was hysterical as the handsome actor being led around by his wang, and Paul Giamati was heardwrenching as the writer beset by shattered confidence and artistic failure. Go see this movie.
Forget speaking softly and carrying a big stick: Scream at the top of your lungs and wave your stick at passers-by.
Cutting a fart in an art gallery is one of life’s wicked little pleasures.
This is an article I did on a tube cutting machine built by a friend of mine. It’s the one entitled “Build-to-order Tube Cutter”. Enjoy.
The Full Package is my darkest piece so far. It’s semi-autobiographical, so if I left any real names in it, let me know and I’ll delete them. The story is fictional, but the people are based on real ones and some key events are from real life. It’s not finished, but I think it will be one of these days. I’m hoping it’ll be good enough for production.
Self Made Man is my most finished screenplay. It’s got a beginning middle and and end, but I ran out of steam on it before it was really ready. Hopefully I’ll be able to figure out the character dynamics well enough to really cal it finished.
